Description: Team management is an essential skill for those who take on positions of leadership in collaborative environments. This is especially true in software development companies and engineering organizations in which a high degree of cooperation between team members is expected. This course is designed to introduce students to ‘team concepts,’ and includes content related to matrixed teams, effective communication for teams, characteristics of effective teams, identification of dysfunctional teams and team members, the design of jobs that optimize Individual and team members, and incentives and compensation.
Prerequisites: Junior or Senior standing or by Instructor Approval
